To be eligible for the High School to Flight School scholarship, you must meet the below criteria. Note that the scholarship is currently only available to students in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley.
Grades
You must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or a semester GPA of 3.5 for both semesters of the current school year.
Grade Level
You must be either a Junior or Senior in high school.
FAA Requirements
You must meet the basic FAA eligibility requirements for obtaining a private pilot license (as detailed in 14 CFR 61.103). This includes:
Be at least 17 years old on date of checkride. You can take lessons and even solo at 16.
Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
